Smoky Quartz

The 108 mala beads you hold in your hands have been made with Smoky Quartz. This precious stone is said to help disperse fear and negativity. Strongly associated with the Root chakra, it can bring calmness, helping us feel more grounded. Promotes positive thoughts and action, dispels nightmares and manifests your dreams.

Warrior Goddess

We have paired Smoky Quartz with Durga, our Warrior Goddess. The divine spirit of Durga helps to eliminate suffering. Her power, will and determination guides you forwards, helping you send those suffering, negative thoughts that do not serve you, far, far away.

What is a Mala bead?

A mala is a sanskrit word that means garland. This sacred string of beads represents 108 prayers, mantras or affirmations. The number 108 is considered the number of the wholeness of existence. A deeply sacred number in Hinduism and Buddhism, it connects the sun, moon and earth. The additional charm is considered the ‘guru bead’. When you use the beads, close your eyes, chant your prayer as you follow the beads one by one, passing them between your middle finger and your thumb. When you reach the guru bead, take a moment to connect to the energy of Durga, asking for her guidance and releasing your prayers to the universe.
